Great place. The chalet that we stayed in was lovely and the surroundings were beautiful. It was clean and had all the facilities that we needed for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the old mine and river on the property. Management was very friendly and covid compliance was better than any other accommodation we have stayed at. I would definitely reccommend this establishment.

Amazing 5 star accommodation! The room was beautiful and well set up. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I go up to Graskop.

Very pretty log cabins. Clean and comfortable. There is a scenic hike on the property.

Great Value for money. Host went above and beyond. Spacious, neat and clean cottage. Beautiful short hiking trail through a lush forest. Lots of space between units allows privacy and tranquility. Well located.

After a long drive we received a friendly welcome from the owner of the Zur alten Miene guesthouse. The scenery and tranquility of the area were amazing. The owner walked with is to our log cabin. The cabin was spacious, the furniture in excellent condition with an amazing view of a small pond tucked in and surrounded by a natural forest and lush vegetation. A real hidden gem and a real bargain. Can't wait to come back again

This place is excellent. Money well spend. They are not expensive with the cost and the place is very neatly kept and the owner was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Very peaceful and beautiful place here. 11/10 definitely recommend

Very poor. I am baffled at the good rating it has. This place looks like it doesn't have a caretaker - the grass is not well kept and we didn't have hot water. If there was half a star it would be my rating. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I stayed at Zur Alten Mine for one night and really enjoyed my experience. The price was great and the cabin was great as well. I would recommend to friends and family.

Highly recommended! Zur Alten Mine is a true gem, located just outside of Graskoop on a lovely, quiet and beautiful property. We stayed overnight in one of their chalets, which was tastefully furnished and came with everything we could have hoped for. Our personal highlight was the german inspired breakfast with homemade buns, something you won’t find anywhere else in the area. During the breakfast, our host came to the table and gave us extremely helpful tips for activities in the area. We only wished we could’ve stayed longer!

Nice place, very taken care of. Friendly staff - they recommended a place to eat and made a reservation! Loved the little pond in front of our bungalow. Was a great start for our honeymoon in SA.

We were lucky enough to stay in the honeymoon room, garden room and another room that sits on the hill of the property that I can't remember. All of which were nearly kept and has all the requirements for a comfortable stay. Each room has a two plate/oven stove with kettle and the usual pots and pans including crockery. There is dishwashing liquid and clothes to clean up as well. Each room does come with multi plugs, extra blankets, fireplace, extra wood and a braai place. We didn't opt for the breakfast but the dining area is neat. Owners are friendly and happy to assist in any questions we had. Peaceful getaway from the noises of town which are about 10min drive.

Tranquil environment, perfect place to stay on the trip in the panoramic route. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us all details and information for the area. Rooms were clean and peaceful, breakfast was very tasty. Will definately be back next trip!

Such a beautiful venue, so peaceful and quiet. The Hostess who met us was so friendly and helpful, even the dogs helped to lead us up to our cabin walking along on front of the car. The cabin is lovely, with lots of space, fantastic shower and a fireplace for those cold mountain nights.
